We thought we were going to be remodeling an upstairs bathroom due to some water leaking – but it ended up being a super-fast, inexpensive fix – so we switched gears and went with an all over update including new paint throughout, brighter countertops and backsplash in the kitchen and MY favorite – a built-in fireplace/media wall. Picking the right color for this house was a bit of a challenge – the homeowner wanted a “happy and fun” vibe and leaned toward blue, but the way their house sits with the natural light coming in, we were getting baby boy nursery vibes, which obviously wasn’t ideal. Adding a bit more green in the color totally took away the nursery vibes and gave us this stunning teal that screams “happy” and works with all of their furniture and decor. In the two upstairs bedrooms and bathroom, we went with a bit more neutral color since the ceilings were sloped to make the rooms feel a bit bigger. Updating the countertops and backsplash with the new paint color was a must and the kitchen feels twice as big! The media wall is definitely the showstopper – widening that fireplace wall makes the overall room feel bigger and adds much needed storage and display space without taking up anymore floor space! Talk about a game changer!
Here is some before pictures of the main floor- I don’t have any of the upstairs, but you’ll get the point with the after pictures- the paint color change is SO much better. Make sure you scroll down to the bottom to see the downstairs after video tour!

But since I didn’t get the best after pictures of this project, check out the video tour here from our Facebook page of the main floor.
