Will Travel for Palm Trees….and design projects. 🌴📝 Yup, I hopped on a plane several times for this one, so fun! This client has been a friend (one of the first people I met in Oroville) for 20 years – and we’ve done a few projects at her Oroville home throughout the years. So, of course I said yes when they asked me to come to California and redesign their kitchen! We started with lots of phone meetings and then decided to really get the best design, I needed to be on site, so my family and I spent two weeks soaking up the sun in January 😎 while I measured, drafted and sourced samples from new vendors. The original idea was to keep the existing cabinets and retrofit, add on to the perimeters and create a new island, additionally we planned to get rid of the super dark wood floors and paint. Our goal was to lighten the space, add more storage and modernize the space. In the end, we did all new cabinets, extending the perimeter all the way to the pool door and changing the run of the island so we could lengthen it, blew out the pantry to house a large wine fridge and built in pantry, set a 24×24 ivory tile on diagonal (and even went into the bedrooms) and painted all the walls. We rounded out with some new rugs, changed a guest room into an office with new furniture and are working on adding art, accent furniture and accessories!
Thanks to ETS Tile and Stone, Leo’s Cabinets and United Contracting for a job well done and for working with a Washington girl in Cali! 👏
Now, let’s get onto the pictures- you’re going to want to see this transformation. 👏

In LOVE with these countertops!
